The literature materials of sport in festivals of the lunar year were read up and analyzed. The cultural feature of the Chinese sport in festivals of the lunar year was discussed from the cultural angle of ancient festivals. The festival sport in the lunar year is the result of the long time deposition of the Chinese culture. To study it thoroughly is of great significance in developing the national traditional culture and in deeply understanding the historical cultural background of sport.
