摘要
Though Chen Wenshu’s poems can hardly be ranked among those of the great poets during the reign of Emperor Jiaqing and Daoguang, they have nevertheless fully reflected the life environment and state of mind of the intellectuals-officials of that particular time. In addition, they have rigorously implemented the emotion-oriented doctrine of “Sprit and Soul"(xing ling), whereas they have at the same time revealed the infiltration of the then scholarship into literature., thus bestowing his Poems from the Studio of Yidao with a deeper epistemological significance on the history of ancient Chinese poetry.
