Paulo Freire's View of the Teacher

弗莱雷是被压迫教育学的代表人物。他认为,在充满压迫的历史现实中,教师承担着改造被压迫者意识的历史使命。但在具体的压迫环境下,教师却充当着次压迫者的角色。所以,在教育过程中,教师应克服自身的这种二重性,成为一个积极的提问者、对话者和实践者。

Paulo Freire is a representative of the Pedagogy of the Oppressed. He thinks that teachers should take the historical responsibility of transforming the consciousness of the oppressed. But in the oppressive situation, teachers also act as sub-oppressors. So teachers should try to overcome this duality in the educational context, and be a dialogist.
