改革开放以来,中国一直积极推进外汇管理体制改革,自2001年以来更是在经常项目和资本项目等方面出台了一系列的改革措施。未来中国外汇管理的发展方向是:进一步完善经常项目和资本项目的外汇管理;弱化事前审批,加强事后监管;逐步实现由直接管理向间接管理的过渡;提高外汇管理的电子化水平等。

China has actively carried out forex administration reforms since its reform and opening-up. A series of reform measures has been taken recently regarding the current account and capital account. China's forex administration development is directed by further improvement in forex management under current account and capital account, strengthening post-transaction surveillance while relaxing examination and approval beforehand, gradually moving from direct to indirect management, and applying more electronic technology to forex management.
