假指令句

Pseudo-Directives

交际意味着直接或间接地使用语言。间接言语作为重要的语用现象一直受到语用学间接言语行为理论的高度重视。然而它的范围仅局限于对四种典型句式的非典型使用即实施跨类功能的间接性。这里采用分类例证法揭示了指令句的间接语用现象 ,主要是以真、假、非指令的区分为基础对假指令进行讨论 ,认为假指令具有程式化、成语化、语境化、模糊化、虚化等特征 ,它们具有很高的语用价值。还提出假指令句的正确理解对翻译和教学都有实际意义。

Indirect use of language has lent itself to considerable discussion in the indirect speech act theory, though limited to cross-sentential multifunctionality under the name of indirectness. This thesis explores the indirectness of directives through exemplification, and based upon the distinction of true, pseudo- and non-directives, discusses the characteristics of the second type, and maintains that the pseudo-directives are often characterized by being formulaic, idiomatic, contextual and vague, with pragmatic values. Correct understanding of pseudo-directives will have significance in EFL teaching as well as translation.
