Functions and Structural Features of Interpretative News Reporting

解释性报道在西方报刊中占有重要地位 ,它的主要文体功能是信息功能和劝说功能。解释性报道与纯新闻报道的功能不同导致两者采用不同语篇结构。解释性报道语篇围绕事件分析、问题解释 ,注重逻辑关系 ;纯新闻报道突出新闻事实 ,强调客观 ,一般采用倒金字塔形式。

Interpretative news reporting has a very important position in the Western press. Its main functions are referential and conative whereas straight news reporting has only referential function. The functional difference between straight news reporting and interpretative news reporting results in their use of different structures. The former, to achieve objectivity, stresses facts and usually employs the inverted pyramid form. The latter, to enhance interpretation, stresses logic and centers on the significance, cause and effect of a news event.
