摘要
以 176名非英语专业一年级大专生为实验研究对象 ,调查内容图式的两个因素———熟悉度与上下文———对中国读者英语阅读的影响。结果表明 ,这两个因素均对受试者的理解产生影响 ,其中熟悉度效应最为显著。熟悉度是上下文发生作用的前提条件 ,上下文却不是熟悉度产生效应的必要条件。
In order to examine the individual and interactive effects of the two factors of content schema-familiarity and context-on EFL reading comprehension of Chinese students, an experiment was carried out among 176 Chinese College students who are non-English majors. Results indicate that both familiarity and context have significant positive effects. Familiarity has a greater effect than context. Besides, scores of familiar passages were enhanced both in context condition and in no-context condition, while the effect of context was significant only when readers process familiar materials.
