江泽民同志“三个代表”重要思想的提出有其科学的理论依据和现实依据。它是马克思主义唯物史观、我国社会主要矛盾、社会主义本质理论在党建实践中的运用和发展 ,是对我党性质和宗旨的新概括和新体现 ,是对我党历史经验的科学总结 ,是新形势下对各级党组织和全体党员提出的新要求。

Comrade Jiang Ze mins ‘Three Represents’ rests on a scientific theoretical and on practical foundations. They are an application and development of Marxist historical materialism and of the implementation of theories about our countrys main social contradictions and the nature of socialism; they are a new summation and embodiment of our Partys nature and mission. The ‘Three Represents’ are a scientific summation of our Partys historical experiences, and under new circumstances they make new demands on all Party members at every level.
