Research on the Mineral Sources of Bronze Vessels in Shang-Zhou by lead-isotope ratio

摘要 Some scholars have studied the bronze vessels of Shang-Zhou period by lead-isotope and found a kind of abnormal lead with low ratio in the excavated articles since 1984.The abnormal lead was found existing in bronze vessels from Fuhao tomb in Henan,Dayangzhou tomb in Jiangxi,Sanxingdui tomb in Sichuan and other ancient tombs of Shang-Zhuo period.Geologically,the ores that contain the abnormal lead with low ratio were only found in Yunnan. So the paper points out that the ores of the bronzes came from Yunnan and were mined extensively in Shang Dynasty.These ores gradually decreased from the bronzes in Western Zhou Dynasty and almost disappeared after Eastern Zhou Dynasty.The study of ancient documents and ar cheaological materials also show that Yunnan ores were transported to central Ch ina in Shang-Zhou period.
