摘要
在1993年至1996年期间,TEM考试(高等院校英语专业等级考试)效度研究项目组对该考试进行了效度评估工作,并修订了阅读项目的考试规范.本研究的目的是探讨根据该考试规范设计的TEM4考试中阅读项目的答题效度.通过探讨题目类型(按照考试规范设计)、调查对象采用的阅读策略以及考试分数之间的关系.来进一步论证TEM4阅读测试的效度.研究结果表明在不同的题目类型、阅读策略和考试分数之间的确存在着一定的关系模式.
TEM tests underwent a validation study between 1993 and 1996, during which specifications for the reading component were revised.The purpose of the present investigative study is to establish the response validity of TEM4 reading test items developed according to the above mentioned specifications. The study investigates potential relationships among question types (based on the test specifications), test takers' reading strategies and their reading test scores in an attempt to further validate TEM4 reading tests. The research study instruments include a revised version of the TEM4 reading specification, a TEM4 reading test and a reading strategies' checklist. Both qualitative and quantitative measures are employed during the study. The results have shown tentatively that there exist certain patterns of relationship among specific question types, reading strategies and reading performance.
