追求文学翻译的等效是再现原文审美表象因素的过程.其间有取有舍.本文以老舍的<茶馆>英译本说明,'戏剧性'是剧本语言体现的样式特征,也是戏剧翻译取舍的客观依据.文学翻译与戏剧翻译同理,取舍也需以客观要素为基础.

The pursuit of equivalent effect in literary translation is a process of recreating formal aesthetic elements of the original text, during which, the translator has to make choices. This paper hopes to prove through the English versions of Lao She's The Teahouse that playability is the genre feature represented by the language of the text and constitutes the objective base of opera translation. The translator in literary translation, as in opera translation,should also base his choices on objective factors of the text.
