摘要
本文以编写英汉词典过程中遇到的非等值词为研究对象,在对其讨论范围加以简单说明后,先从非等值现象产生的原因入手,认为由于英汉文化语言差异产生了非等值问题及在词汇非等值层内词的层面和词以上层面的非等值现象.最后探讨了处理非等值问题的原则和对策,希望对解决双语词典编纂中的非等值问题有所帮助.
The paper takes as its subject the lexical non-equivalence in the composition of English-Chinese dictionaries. After a brief introduction to the scope of the paper, it firstly analyses the reality of nonequivalence. It is held that nonequivalence arises when culture and language display their discrepancy in English-Chinese dictionaries. Then the paper explores nonequivalence at word level and above word level within lexical layer. The last part of the paper proposes some plausible principles and strategies with the aim of compiling a user-friendly English-Chinese dictionary.
