摘要
本文论及的要点是怎样将古汉语成语、诗词译成英语的层面分析.首先译者必须彻底领会古汉语成语及诗词的内容及背景情况,然后采用各种相应的译法,如意译、直译、音译等,同时还要认真考虑原文风格.本文旨在促进广大译者花更多的精力去翻译古汉语文学作品.
The essential points this paper treats of are analysis of how to translate ancient Chinese idioms and poems into English. Firstly, the translator should have a thorough understanding of the content and background information, and accordingly use various ways of translation, eg. literaltranslation,freetranslation ,transliteration, etc.;furthermore, the style of the original material should be taken into serious consideration. This article means to stimulate more concentration on the translation of classical Chinese literature.
