Analyze Zhu Xi's(朱熹) Grammatical Thinking From Shi Ji Zhuan(诗集传)

朱熹在《诗集传》中流露了他的语法意识。他继承并发展了汉唐训诂学家有关虚词的观点,在注释中阐述了名词与动词的灵活用法,认识到了词序、省略诸方面的语法现象,并作了合理的说明。

ZhuXi's(朱熹) grammatical thinking came down in the linguists' continuous line of the Han and Tang Dynasties (汉唐), but his view about function words did not copy the ancients. Zhu Xi(朱熹) did not assort the function words in detail, but he had seen three parts of special empty words in Shi Jing(诗经). He saw the special phenomenon that a word had several functions, he could explain it's meaning according the function and action of the word in a sentence. When he explained, he paid an attention to the grammar, such as the word order and the omit.
