江泽民同志“三个代表”的重要思想,是加强党的建设的行动纲领,也是新形势下加强高校领导班子和各级干部队伍建设的必然要求。长期以来,高校领导班子和各级干部在推进高校的改革发展建设方面做出了较大贡献,但面对新世纪、新形势、新情况、新任务,他们还存在一些与改革、发展、建设不相适应的问题,必须认真学习实践“三个代表”重要思想,全面加强领导班子和各级干部队伍的思想、政治、组织和作风建设,只有这样,才能更好地肩负起时代的重托。

the important thought of 'Three Representings'which Chairman Jiang Zemin presented is the action program to strengthen the Party's construction, and the necessary demand to strengthen the construction of leader core and cadre ranks at all levels of colleges and universities in new situation. For a long period, leader core and cadre ranks at all levels of colleges and universities have contributed greatly in advancing the reform, development and construction of colleges and universities, but facing the new century, new situation, new things, new tasks, there still are a lot of problems incompatible with the reform, development and construction. So we must seriously study and practise the important thought of 'Three Representings' so as to strengthen the construction of ideology, politics, organization and style of leader core and cadre ranks at all levels of cololeges and universities. Only in this way can we choulder the duty of times.
