Brief Discussion on the Process of Writing 《 Water Margin 》

《水浒传》的故事 ,从最初宋朝末年的口头传说到民间艺人的评话 ,到元代写成一个个单独的剧本 ;人物从宋江等三十六人发展到七十二人又发展到一百零八人 ;地点从传说的太行山到山东的梁山泊 ;从口头传说的单独故事到文字记录和编辑成书 ,经历了一个漫长的过程。

The folklores and the entertainers' storytellings in the last years of the Song Dynasty had been being circulated, and up to the Yuan Dynasty, they were written single dramas. In《Water Margin》,the characters from 36 to 108,such as Song Jiang, the places of the story from Tai Hang Mountain to Liang Shan Bo in Shan Tong province, and the literature from folklores to dramas, the writing of 《Water Margin》 had experienced a very long process.
