On October 1, we celebrated our 55th National Day. In the past 55 years, ongoing poverty eradication has been a major aspect of China's steady development. This is apparent in areas as diverse as Xinjiang, ethnic autonomous regions in the Northwest, and Foshan City, a small but developed city in Guangdong Province, South China. Both bear witness to remarkable changes.
