On the Formation of Su Shi's Thought “Not to be Tormented by Material Gains”

Against the background of increasing scramble for political power,Su Shi's experience of vicissitude in officialdom became a prerequisite for the formation of thought on material gains. However,Su Shi's thought on material gains infused with the thinking style of flexibility and integration as well as the magnanimity showing contempt for worries and troubles reveals his broad perspective but not stiffness in spirit. Detached character and initiative attitude creates a magnanimous world outlook.
