Feng Zikai is a modern Chinese writer whose essays embody a distinctive cultural characteristic of the fusion of Confucianism and Buddhism that derives mostly from the writer' s dual beliefs in Confucianism and Buddhism. In exploring the origin of life, confirming the meaning of life and realizing the value of life, Feng Zikai chose to view and experience life in an artist' s way on which his particular outlook on arts and life was formed.
