The new trend of integrated protector for preparatory transformer substation is introduced in detail.In the viewpoint of online monitoring, real-time analysis and networking, and through a practical design example of preparatory transformer substation(PTS) project,a hardware platform solution for embedded real-time system based on digital system processing (DSP) is put forward, which can meet the demands of the up-to-data requirement in protector for preparatory transformer substation, and has advantage of small dimension, low cost, and suitable to be installed on site in large quantity. The architecture of system hardware and task distribution model are given, and the design has reached the proposed subject.
