摘要
语篇分析既无公认的理论指导,也没有公认的分析步骤和方法。而Halliday建构系统功能语法的目的之一是为语篇分析提供一个理论和分析框架。本文试以JackLondon的长篇小说代表作《马丁·伊登》节选的一段为语料对象,尝试从功能语法人际和语篇的角度对此篇节选进行语篇分析并以此探讨功能语篇分析对大学英语教学实践的指导意义。
There are neither universally-accepted theories nor well-recognized approachesto discourse analysis. Nevertheless, one of the major aims of Halliday's systemic functional grammar is to construct a grammar for purposes of discourse analysis. This paper attempts to present a brief discourse analysis of an excerpt of Jack London'sMartin Eden fromthe perspective of systemic functional grammar and to evaluate the directive effect of functional discourse analysis on English teaching.
