经济基础对文艺发展决定作用的有限性与弱化趋势

The Limitation and Weakening Tendency of the Economic Base'sDecisive Function on the Development of Art

一定社会的经济基础对一定社会的文艺发展具有决定作用,但这种决定作用主要限于要求相应社会的文艺与经济基础在性质和发展方向上相适应,即具有主流意识形态性,但一定历史时期的经济基础并不能决定该时代多种多样文艺的性质和发展的方方面面。文艺发展中的恒久性因素审美性首先不是亦主要不是由经济基础决定的。科学技术居"统治"地位的时代,科技对文艺发展的决定作用模糊和掩盖了经济基础的作用。在发达社会、富裕社会、消费社会和在信息时代、全球化时代,经济基础对文艺发展的决定作用呈现弱化趋势。

The economic base of a society performs a decisive function on the development of art of that society. Yet this function is largely limited to demanding that the relative art forms adjust to the economic base in nature and tendency of development, that is, being in line with the ideology of the mainstream. However, the economic base is unable to determine the diversity of the art forms and tendency of development on all levels. Aesthetics, the permanent factor of art, is not and mainly is not determined by the economic base. During the era when technology dominates, the decisive function of science and technology on art blurs and overshadows the function of the economic base. A weakening tendency of the decisive function of the economic base on art is observed in the developing countries, the rich society, the consumption society, the information age and the era of globalization.
