摘要
委婉语是世界文化中的普遍语言现象,它广泛地应用于社会各阶层和领域。本文尝试用现代语言学的理论来分析委婉语的交际功能和构造原则。研究委婉语的使用对培养跨文化交际意识以及外语教学均有启发意义。
Euphemism is a common language phenomenon. It is widely used in all walks of life.This paper focuses on the analysis of the functions and structure of euphemism from the point of view of modern linguistics. The study is intended to bring benefits of the use of euphemism to both people's awareness of intercultural communication and English teaching.
