Madness and Reticence——An analysis on Clarissa in Mrs. Dalloway

本文从“正常 (理智 )与疯狂”这一对对立因素入手 ,着重分析了它们在伍尔夫的小说《达洛卫夫人》中的作用 ,并以此为视点探讨了其中的女主人公克拉丽莎的形象 。

Based on an opposite factor of “normal (reason) and madness”, this thesis emphatically analyses its effects on Clarissa in Mrs. Dalloway. On this point of view, it inquires into the image of female leading character Clarissa, showing that madness and reticence are the important elements which make up the character feature.
