Lin Gu-du, one of the remains of Ming Dynasty, was a grand old poet in the early Qing Dynasty and won general popularity then. With regard to his natal and obituary year, there is a new point of view lately. This viewpoint itself is in reason, and furthermore can be proved by many other facts. It can not only make corrections, but also help for the exact dating of correlative works by other poets.
