The Contribution Made by Community Colleges to American Education and Its Enlightenment

社区学院在美国迄今已有百年历史。尤其是二战后的几十年是它发展的黄金时期,对美国教育发展做出了不可磨灭的历史贡献。美国高等教育大众化的实现、教育民主化进程的推进以及终身教育体系的构建都与社区学院的发展密切相关。它对我国高等教育的改革与发展具有一定启示。

Community colleges have developed about 100 years in America.Especially the several years after the Second World War is the golden time of them and they made great historic contribution to American education.The author believes that the reality of higher education popularization,advancement of education democratization and construction of lifelong education system are all relative to community colleges in USA.We can get some enlightenment from their developmental experience.
