新版《辞源》中部分词语释义、引证考

释义,是辞书释文的主体部分,释义的质量决定辞书的优劣。引证同样是辞书的重要组成部分,它可以佐证释义,补充释文的不足,证明释义是信而有据的。新版《辞源》的部分词条在释义及引证上似有不足之处。文章试予指出并以诸多实例分别予以证明。

Definitive paraphrases constitute the main part of exposition of a dictionary. Whether the paraphrases are good or not determines the quality of a dictionary. Citations likewise form an important part of a dictionary, which corroborate,verity and add to the paraphraeses in question. The paraphrases and citations under some entries in the new edition of Ci Yuan: A Dicitionary of Chinese Etymology appear to be inadequate. This article attempts to verity the authenticity of some paraphrases and citations with an abundance of illustrations collected by this writer.
