Expression and significance of VEGF in primary breast carcinoma tissues

目的 :研究乳腺癌组织VEGF变化规律 ,探讨VEGF与乳腺癌预后的关系。方法 :应用免疫组化检测 6 3例良恶性乳腺组织中VEGF的表达 ,并比较其阳性表达率和程度的差异。结果 :复发乳腺癌、无复发乳腺癌和多原发乳腺癌组织VEGF阳性表达率均较乳腺纤维腺瘤组织高 ,复发乳腺癌VEGF阳性表达程度高于无复发乳腺癌和多原发乳腺癌。结论 :VEGF可反映癌细胞侵袭转移活性 ,VEGF过表达预测乳腺癌复发具有一定价值。

Objective:To study the expression of VEGF in primary breast carcinoma tissues and to evaluate the predictive significance in recurrence of the primary breast carcinoma.Methods:Expression of VEGF in 63 benign and malignant breast paraffin-embedded specimens was determined and the difference in the positive rate and the intensity of positive reaction of VEGF were compared.Results:The positive rate of VEGF was significantly increased in malignant breast tissues compared with benign breast tissues.While the positive intensity of VEGF was significantly increased in tissues with recurrence of the primary breast carcinoma compared with the tissues of no recurrence of breast carcinoma and multiple breast carcinoma.Conclusion:The expression of VEGF may indicate the proliferating activity of carcinoma cell.The positive intensity of expression of VEGF may be valuable in prediction of the recurrence of primary breast carcinoma.
