摘要
从象征艺术的角度 ,论述弗罗斯特以孤独和死亡为主题的诗歌创作所具有的独特性 ,并探讨他与艾米莉·狄金森及T .S .艾略特在同类主题的诗歌创作上的异同 ,旨在阐释弗罗斯特立足本民族的诗歌传统 ,以现代诗人的意识对人类精神活动的观照及其对生命本真意义的追寻。
This paper,from the viewpoint of symbolism,expounds the distinguishing features of Frost's poetic creation with loneliness and death as the themes of his poetry,and compares his poems with those of the same themes by Emily Dickinson and T.S.Eliot,so as to formulate his contemplation of spiritual activities in human beings and his search for the significance of life truth,based on his persistence in American poetic traditions and his modern awareness of human desolation and ultimate fate.
