西方社会资本理论的发展打破了传统人力资本对学习型社会的垄断地位,为教育开辟了新的领域。本文通过对西方人力资本、社会资本的理论回顾,对人力资本与社会资本的比较,以及介绍一种以英国北爱尔兰岛的实证研究为依据的类型学模型,探讨了社会资本和西方终身教育的关系。

The development of the social capital has broken the monopoly of the human capital to the lifelong education,which inaugurates a new realm to the education. The paper retrospects the theory of the social capital and human capital and their relationship,and introduces an operational typology which is based on the empirical study of the North Ireland,to probe into the relationship between the social capital and the western lifelong education.
