Recent Progresses of the Mercury Laser System

摘要 Mercury激光系统是一个可升级的重复频率惯性聚变驱动器,它的运行目标是:波长1047nm,10Hz频率,输出能量100J,脉宽2~10ns,电光效率10%.该系统利用激光二极管抽运Yb3+:S-FAP晶体,由氦气流对晶体进行冷却,通过离轴像传递系统实现四通放大.报导了该系统2003年初至2004年1月底的最新进展情况. The Mercury laser system is a scalable driver for rep-rate inertial fusion energy. The performance goals include 10% electrical efficiency at 10Hz and 100J at 1047nm with a 2~10 ns pulse length. This laser is an off-axis 4-pass gas-cooled diode-pumped Yb:S-FAP amplifier system based on image relaying. Recent progresses of the Mercury laser system are introduced.
