本田新型发动机——椭圆活塞发动机配置8个进排气门,气缸为椭圆包络线形状,活塞采用两根连杆支撑结构,前、后两块气缸盖分别为整体式结构。气门位于两平行线上,开闭机构简单,进排气口面积增大,可获得高转速、高功率,理想的高速扭矩。
The engine with ellipse pistons has 8 intake and outake valves. The cylinder is in the shape of ellipse enveloping line and the piston is supported by two connecting rods. The front and back cylinder heads are of integral structure. The valves are located on the two parallel lines and the open-close machenism of the valves is simple. The larger area of intake and outake port contribute to the obtaining of high rotation speed, high power and ideal high speed torque.
