张爱玲是一个具有明确女性意识的女作家。在她的笔下,女人就是女人,是男女性别角色中的女性,而不是神化的女人;女人叛不出男门,是因为谋生之外她们也谋爱;"性"天然地存在于女性的天性里,像饮食之于生命那么重要,根本不存在肯定它还是否定它的问题。

Zhang Ailing is a writer, whose works are characterized by sharp consciousness of women. When it comes to sex in her works, women are just women. Women are opposite of men and they are not deified women. Women are loyal to their husbands just because they also seek to love as well as a livelihood. Sex is to women what food is to life. There is no need to say 'yes' or 'no' to sex.
