摘要
利用微分方程定义的动力系统相平面几何定性理论,研究了海洋和大气中的非线性Rossby周期波与孤立波的存在条件和波解,得到了非线性波动的波速公式及波参数间的一些诊断关系。同时指出,波动的特征涡度受到限制,即平衡处的涡度不能过大,否则波要发生破碎。
Conditions for the existence of nonlinear Rossby periodic and solitary wave solutions in the atmosphere and oceans are studied with the aid of the phase plane geometrical qualitative theory of a dynamic system defined by the differential equation. The expression of the velocity and some diagnostic relations among the parameters in nonlinear waves are obtained. It proves that characteristic vorticity is restricted, implying that too strong vorticity is unallowable so as to avoid the breakdown of the waves.
