My Loyal Opinion on Use of the Out-of-date Periodicals

期刊是反映现实科学文化成果最快捷和最敏感的文献 ,是图书馆馆藏的重要组成部分。提高期刊尤其是过刊的利用率 ,必须在充分认识其意义的基础上 ,有目的和有针对性地制作好全面反映馆藏的二次文献 ,并且开展一些行之有效的宣传。

Being an important part of the collections of the library, periodicals are the quickest and most sensitive literature resources reflecting the actual scientific and cultural achievements. To increase the use of the out-of-date periodicals it must be based on the full understanding of its significance. One should purposefully make the use of the second-hand literature which enriches the library collection and effectively propagate its usefulness.
