Energy Management System (EMS) is a compositive automatic system based on computers and used in power systems, which is generally applied in generating systems and transmitting systems for dispatching center in a great region's power network and in a provincial one.The composing,the basic functions and the (utility) for EMS software in the automatic dispatching system are presented and the application in Ji'an region's power network, for the device on TH2100 made by Tsinghua University, is introduced in the paper, which provides a reliable and scientific analyzing means for the power dispatching in a region's power network.
