再论“班洪事件”的历史地位——纪念班洪抗英70周年

Again On the Historical Position of the "Banhong Conflict"——The 70^(th)Anniversary of Anti-British War

发生在1934年云南边地阿佤山区班洪佤族部落王地的"班洪事件",是以佤族人为先锋,各族边民和侨胞支援参与的曾震惊中外的一次自发的民众反帝爱国斗争。这场斗争,以英方的军事与外交的失败告终,充分表现了佤族人崇高的爱国赤子精神和中华民族同仇敌忾的深厚凝聚力以及人民战争的巨大威力,意义重大。深化对这一"事件"历史地位的认识,对振奋民族精神,增强民族凝聚力,与时俱进,完成十六大提出的"实现中华民族的伟大复兴"宏伟目标,以及反对国际霸权主义、恐怖主义仍是重要和必要的。

Banhong Event happened at the Wa area,in 1943,led by the Wa people,with the help of the other frontier residents and overseas Chinese.It is a battle against the imperialism initiated by the local minority people.This war ended by the failure of the British army and its foreign diplomatic policy.This war has fully shown the patriotism of the Wa people,the united spirit of Chinese people and the strong power in the peoples war.It is of great significance to know the historical position of this event,which would revive the national spirit,strengthen the union of Chinese people.Its also important and necessary to meet the demand of reviving the Chinese people, resist the international imperialism,and fight against terrorism.
