There are many quotations from the English Bible, AV or non AV, in medical textbooks and periodicals of Britain and the United Sates. Since Chinese students have limited knowledge of Christian culture, they can not read English Bible fluently. The paper illustrates this point with 13 examples from the English medical writings. It attemps to give some help to Chinese readers in understanding the English Bible quotations and then English medical writings. [
