Glutaraldehyde is a broad spectrum,highly efficient and quick action sterilizing agent with low toxicity and safe to human body.It can be formulated to various dosage form such as acidic aqueous solution,basic aqueous solution,alcoholic solution,binary component,synergistic blend and powder etc.The different features of the various dosage forms were described.The development of blend form with surfactants,inorganic cations,other antimicrobials and oxidants will be the future trend.
