Review of the Study of the Chinese Rhetoric History

从修辞史与修辞学史及语言学其他分支学科如语音史、词汇史、语法史等研究的比较以及从修辞史自身的"史学"价值角度看,研究修辞史很有必要也非常迫切。汉语修辞史的研究对象应该是一切可以接触、辨认的汉语修辞文本———包括所有汉语文献典籍和出土文献的语料,也包括现代互联网上的各种汉语语料资源。修辞史的研究任务就是在历史中探询、揭示、描述各种修辞现象的生灭规律,寻找它们的内在有机联系和演变轨迹,建构完整的修辞史理论体系。在运用归纳法、比较法等传统研究方法的同时,也应注意借鉴系统论、控制论、信息论、阐释论等现代理论方法。要努力挖掘汉民族传统文化宝库中丰富的修辞遗产,充分利用自己的话语"解释权"来研究汉语修辞史。

After a review of the studies about the embranchments of language such as phonetic history, glossarial history, syntax history, etc., we have found, from the angle of historical value, that the study of rhetoric history is very important and urgent. What is to be studied in the Chinese rhetoric history should be the text which we can touch and identify, including all of the Chinese ancient books and records and unearthed literature, and all the present online language resources. The study aims to seek, reveal and describe the rules for appearance and disappearance of all kinds of rhetoric phenomena, to find out their inner organic relationships and evolution tracks before we can establish an integrated theoretical system of the rhetoric history. We must pay attention to using such research methods as used in systematology, cybernetics, informatics, etc. while using the traditional methods such as induction and comparison and the like. We should do our best to acquire the rich heritage of the Chinese rhetoric in the great cultural thesaurus of the Han nationality while studying the Chinese rhetoric history.
