The Origination of Xia Kou Dialects of Three Gorges Area

三峡是长江文明的重要区段 ,对其方言的调查和研究有助于三峡文化以及长江文明的发掘与认识。三峡方言的研究 ,根据历史文化和语言的特点来考察 ,应可自下而上细划为峡口、峡腹和峡尾 (或峡端 )几段来进行。本文据于峡口 ,以近 5 0年来的词汇现象为调查对象 ,由时间、空间以及时空综合的视角 ,将其词汇构成来源归纳于古语保存和留用、自行设计和造作、引进通语和外言的框架之下 。

Three Gorges area is the important region of Yangtze culture. The study of its dialects will deepen the understanding of Three Gorges culture as well as the Yangtze culture. The study of Three Gorges dialects could be divided into several sub-braches as Xia Kou, Xia Fu and Xia Wei( Xia Duan) according to their historical culture and characteristics respectively.This paper analyzes the Xia Kou dialect by focusing on its vocabulary in recent 50years. From a multiple angles such as time, space even a mix of time and space, the paper summarizes the origination of its vocabulary as retaining of ancient vocabularies, self-generation and borrowing of other dialects by providing detailed examples.
