传统反语语用观与回应理论的对比研究

A Comtrastive Study on the Traditional Pragmatic Account of Irony and the Echoic Interpretation Theory of Irony

作为言语交际中一种普遍的语言现象 ,言语反语已引起语言学家和认知心理学家的关注。本文首先阐述早期语用学对反语的语用分析 ,继而探讨了Sperber和Wilson在关联理论框架下提出的反语回应理论。本文试图通过对比分析说明反语回应理论对反语更具解释力。

As a common linguistic phenomenon in verbal c om munication, verbal irony has received considerable attention from linguists and cognitive psychologists, This paper presents the traditional pragmatic account o f irony by Grice, Searle and Leech and then the echoic interpretation theory of irony by Sperber and Wilson. By making a contrastive study, this paper shows tha t the latter is explanatorily more convincing and powerful.
