As the on-line methods and techniques develop, event-related potentials (ERP) measurement, being more accurate and sensitive than reaction time measures, has been largely used in psychological researches since the mid-80's of last century. In the language comprehension study field, Three kinds of ERP components have been found: the N400 reflecting, the lexical and semantic processes, the left anterior negativities (LAN and ELAN) reflecting the immediately syntactic processes and the P600 reflecting the later syntactic integration. Furthermore, these components have different modalities between the normal and the aphasia patients. In the future, the combination of ERP and other techniques will facilitate the understanding of language comprehension.
