Improve Maize Hybrid Production in China Through Enhancement of Germplasm

论述了改良种质对提高我国玉米杂交种生产水平的重要性,探讨了群体改良、杂优群与杂优模式、地方种质与热带亚热带种质资源的利用等进行种质改良的方法与途径。

In this paper the consequence of germplasm enhancement to maize hybrid production in China was discussed. Some effective methods and paths in germplasm enhancement were explored. These included population improvement, the theory of heterotic groups and patterns, the utilization of local germplasm, the introducing and utilization of tropical and subtropical germplasm.
