大学的特殊地位和大学生的特殊作用表明 ,在大学中开展奥林匹克教育 ,对传播奥林匹克精神 ,促进人的和谐发展和社会进步具有重大意义。通过对北京地区大学生有关奥林匹克了解情况的调查可以看出 ,大学生们对奥林匹克充满热情 ,但是缺乏相应的知识结构和文化底蕴 ,所以加强大学生的奥林匹克教育是十分必要而紧迫的 ,应从具体的、应用的实际需要出发 ,使奥林匹克精神与中国大学教育相结合 。

Considering the special functions of universities and the special status of university students in the society, the development of the education in the Olympic in the university will have great effect on propagating the Olympic spirit and promoting people's harmonious development and social progress.The university students are full of enthusiasm to the Olympic movement, but lack the corresponding knowledge structure and a deep understanding of the Chinese culture. Hence, it is essential and urgent to strengthen the Olympics education of the university students. Great efforts will be made to promote the combination of the Olympic spirit and the Chinese university education,so as to achieve the aims of the Olympic education.
