现代化是世界性的潮流,从现代化和政治文化研究的历史和现实发展考虑,加强政治文化的研究,无论是对中外现代化的实践,还是对现代化理论的完善,特别是对中国特色的现代化建设都有特殊的意义。市场经济不会自发产生先进的政治文化,也不会消除市场经济带来的消极影响,因此必须用"三个代表"重要思想统揽意识形态领域的全局。对于中国传统政治文化,应坚持继承和摒弃的统一、批判和弘扬的统一、精神传承与超越创新的统一;对西方先进的政治文化应坚持民族化与世界化的统一,建设有中国特色的、社会主义的、最高纲领与最低纲领统一的先进政治文化。

Modernization is the worldwide tide,so it has special significance for us to strengthen the research of the political culture from the aspects of modernization,the historical and political development of the research,not only for the improvement of modernization theory,but also for the construction of modernization with Chinese characteristics.Market economy can neither create advanced political culture nor eliminate its negative effect.It′s necessary to grasp the field of ideology through the theory of the 'Three Representations'and construct the advanced socialist political culture with Chinese characteristics.According to the traditional Chinese political culture,we should persist in the unity of succession and elimination,the unity of criticism and development,the unity of acceptance and creation.The advanced Western political culture should deal with thd unity of national and worldwide characteristics.
