Encoding and display of Yi characters in Linux X-Windows

随着全球数据信息交换越来越频繁,不同民族文化间的信息交流越来越密切;全球化浪潮席卷的背景下,各国都加强信息化建设,我国也在大力推进Linux系统的应用与研究.古老悠久的彝文如何在这个先进的操作系统上编码并能正常地显示、输入、处理、传输是民文信息处理领域研究的重点.就GB18030与彝丈的编码与显示问题进行探讨分析,并尝试给出一些解决思路.

Communication among different peoples keeps incressing, due to the fast development of data information exchange in the world. With the background of globalization, all countries attach much importance to informatization. China makes great efforts to promote the application and research of Linux system. The Yi language is a minority language with a long history. How to encode its characters and normaly display the inputs, processing and transformation is one of the key issues in the field of minority language information processing. This paper focuses on an analysis and discussion of the problem: encoding and display of GB18030 and Yi characters. The authors try to suggest some solutions.
