人类社会历史是一个从"集体本位"向"个人本位"演进的历史过程,"公民本位"是这一演进过程中必然经历的历史阶段。在当代中国建设社会主义市场经济体系的过程中,努力建构"公民本位"价值体系具有十分重要的现实意义。

The author considers that the social history of human-being is a historical procedure from the Collectivism stage to the individualism stage. Then, civiism is a very necessary stage between them. During the present times of building the socialism-market-economic system, what we build the value-system of civilism is very important for Chinese society.
