摘要
到目前为止，已有74个国家参加了1969年国际油污损害民事责任公约(以下简称责任公约)，49个国家参加了1971年国际油污损害赔偿基金公约(以下简称基金公约)。这两个公约在统一各国有关油污损害赔偿责任的法律方面，发挥了十分积极的作用。
This paper sets off with a brief introduction to the establishment of the International Foundation for Compensation of Oil Pollution Damage,its organizations,the source of funds and its practice in oil pollution claims.The article mainly dwells on the following four aspects:expenses resulting from the measures taken by the authority,the relationship between preventive measures and salvage, loss of profit and ocean pollution.In the end,the author prospects the future of the International Foundation for Compensation of Oil Pollution Damage.
