摘要 分析了观赏植物新品种选育的主要方法和途径,简要讨论了传统常规育种和现代分子育种在培育和创造新品种中的地位和作用,认为现阶段我国花卉育种应将两者有机结合起来。 Chinese flower industry has faced immense opportunities and challenge after entrance into WTO. It is beneficial to improve international competitivability by breeding more new varieties with self owned property right and key for Chinese flower industry towards worldwide market to establish breeding system with characteristics of ornamental plants. The main breeding approach to new ornamental varieties was analyzed in this paper.Both traditional and modern molecular breeding were compared in creating new variety.Traditional breeding methods are currently advisable and economical for Chinese ornamentals breeding.
